Annealing of dry grass will take place in the Oktyabrsky district of Irkutsk on April 26

Grass annealing will be carried out on April 26 in the Oktyabrsky district with the participation of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the mayor’s office. This is necessary to prevent spontaneous fires. The press service of the regional center administration reported this on April 26, 2024.

3 hectares will be cleared of last year’s grass in the area of ​​the building on Shiryamova, 35. Work will begin in the afternoon.

The activities are completely controlled and are carried out in the absence of strong winds and precipitation. Specialized equipment and fire extinguishers are placed at each site. Annealing is organized away from residential buildings. Only a professional group can eliminate grass in this way. Residents are prohibited from committing such actions – they are subject to administrative and criminal liability.
