“Blossom, May Day!”: landscaped areas of Tyumen greet citizens with festive events

Tyumen is preparing to celebrate the Spring and Labor Festival. On the eve of this date, the concert program “Blossom, May Day!” will take place.

Residents are invited on April 27 at 16.30 to the green area at Lineinaya Street, 15-17. It will be improved in 2022 thanks to the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”, which was initiated by President Vladimir Putin. The improvement project was included in the register of best practices of the Russian Ministry of Construction.

On Saturday, artists from the Center for Russian Culture will spread a festive mood to everyone present, performing wonderful songs about peace, friendship and, of course, love. Guests of the event will also enjoy Russian folk and Cossack songs, remember the history of the holiday and take part in a quiz.

Meanwhile, in another territory landscaped within the framework of the national project – in the Border Guards Park – the Karga Botkasy festival took place. The guests were delighted by the artists of the Center of Tatar Culture.

“Karga botkasy” means “rook porridge,” says presenter Rinat Garifullin. “This ancient Tatar holiday is dedicated to the return of migratory birds – rooks, bringing spring on their wings.”

From Border Guards Park, the holiday moved to the courtyard of school No. 52. Girls and boys played national games, tried porridge and fed birds, reports the Tyumen administration’s public relations and media committee.

The events are organized as part of the all-Russian project “Marathon of Achievements”, the purpose of which is to show the capabilities of the locations for which residents voted.

Let us remind you that several days, until April 30 inclusive, remain for residents of the Tyumen region to vote for design projects for the improvement of seven territories. Work within the framework of the national project will be completed in 2025. Descriptions and sketches are available on the Ministry of Construction website 72.gorodsreda.ru. Here residents over 14 years of age will be able to make their choice.
