Orenburg resident will pay a fine of 500 thousand rubles for mediation in bribery

According to the case materials, the defendant wanted to help his nephew avoid being drafted into the army and invited him to resolve the issue through his friends. It was established that the defendant received 300 thousand rubles from his nephew and gave it to his friend for subsequent transfer as a bribe to an official of the Orenburg military commissariat for release from the army.

As a result, the defendant’s nephew was illegally exempted, first from conscription for the 2022 spring campaign, and then from conscription for military service.

In court, the defendant admitted guilt. He was sentenced to a fine of 500 thousand rubles to the state.
