The airplane monument was abandoned for a long time. In 2014, it was repaired by Avitek UKS. The plane was restored inside and out, and the area around it was landscaped. For several years, the monument has been considered municipal property. The Oktyabrsky district territorial administration is responsible for its maintenance.
– 10 years after the last renovation, we are again updating the unique exhibit,” said Yulia Dvoinishnikova, deputy head of the territorial department. – Over 2 million rubles from the city budget were allocated for repairs. The covering of the monument will be renewed, and restoration will be carried out inside.
They want to complete the repair of the aircraft by the end of July.
