An art exhibition entitled “In the Language of Art” opened in the first sanatorium orphanage. It includes more than 100 works created by the students themselves. For 5 years now they have been studying at the Nizhny Novgorod Art Museum under the guidance of experienced masters. Together they created works in different types of fine art: painting, mosaic, graphics. Previously, the works decorated the walls of the museum, but now they have moved to the orphanage building, where they will remain.
The opening of the exhibition was a real event. A teddy bear was invited for the young artists, who created a festive mood.
Gleb is a student of the State Educational Institution “First Sanatorium Orphanage”:
“It was warm, it was beautiful. I liked the way we sat, the way we thought, the way we embodied this idea.”
Elena Maltseva – artist:
“It’s important for the child to express himself a little. But another important point in this project is to hang their work on the wall, their photograph. And so that we can all be proud of them together.”
Olga Omelchenko – director of the State Budgetary Institution “First Sanatorium Orphanage”:
“We had children from 4 years old to 18 take part. Children took part at will. And, of course, we must pay tribute to the teacher and staff of the art museum. These are professionals in their field. And when a professional works with a child, there is a result, even when the child does not know how to draw.”
