Bryansk Province | On Gribachev Street in Bryansk, a site is being prepared for dismantling a fallen crane

--

At the construction site on Gribachev Street in the Sovetsky district of the regional center, where a tower crane fell on April 24, work began on constructing an access road to the multi-ton structure. It has to be dismantled. The day before, representatives of the construction company and the organization that will dismantle the crane visited there.

Apparently, a work plan for its dismantling has been developed, reports the Bryansk Gubernia correspondent. The operation will not be easy, since the crane’s boom is hanging at the 11th floor level on the corner of an unfinished high-rise building and is hanging on the other side of the building, in which the glass has been knocked out from the end. At any moment, the entire metal structure can begin to move.

The reasons for the crane fall are still unknown. Perhaps this happened due to a complex of reasons: so-called metal fatigue, violations of operating rules, exposure to external factors, for example, strong gusty winds.

Police officers and the National Guard visited the scene of the incident on the same day. As the Bryansk Gubernia correspondent found out, no one at the construction site was injured as a result of the fall of the crane. The workers said that they experienced a real shock and miraculously survived. All construction and installation work was stopped. The whole day yesterday at the construction site was simple. We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops.
