The head of Saratov promised to expand the carriageway of one of the roads

The head of Saratov, Lada Mokrousova, continues to report to deputies of the Saratov City Duma at the 50th regular meeting. She said, in particular, that in 2023 the planned road work had been fully completed. These include the construction of an overpass on the Peschano-Umetsky tract.

“In 2024, we plan to expand the Moscow Highway towards the village of Sokolovy with the organization of four-lane traffic. There will also be a road to the Urban Spaces microdistrict.”– she said.

Currently, 43% of roads in Saratov are in standard condition. In 2023, 41 sections of roads with a length of 25 kilometers were repaired.

“It is planned to build a road that will connect the villages of Solnechny and Raskovo, two kilometers long, and to repair the roadway along Brothers Nikitin Street. This year we will receive 300 million rubles for road repairs.”said the mayor.

The mayor’s office transferred some of the roads (37 sections) to the regional level. In particular, Lada Mokrousova noted, thanks to this, the repair of the overpass on Altynaya Mountain began.

She also said that the practice of planting large trees in Saratov has worked well.

“The survival rate is high. It is necessary to systematically switch to planting large trees. This year we will also plant them”said Mokrousova.
