Nizhny Novgorod earned 48 million rubles from paid parking in the first quarter of 2024. This is the total amount from payment for parking spaces and fines for violations of their use. The data was provided to the correspondent of the real estate hypermarket GIPERNN.RU by the city administration.
The city received 10.9 million rubles from paying for parking space in January-March, the mayor’s office clarified. This is 2.5 times more compared to the same period last year, when users paid 4.3 million rubles.
Another 37.1 million rubles came into the city treasury through fines for violating parking rules. In January-March, 21,452 decisions were issued to car owners under Article 3.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. To date, the townspeople have paid 37.5 million rubles. The amount was exceeded by covering last year’s penalties, the mayor’s office explained.
Let us remind you that Nizhny Novgorod residents spent almost the entirety of last year for paid parking more than 75 million rubles. Including over 33 million motorists paid for the use of parking spaces. 56% of this amount went to the city budget, the rest to the concessionaire. Another approximately 44 million rubles were fines for violation of parking rules. The funds from their payment were completely directed to the city budget.
Parking fees in Nizhny Novgorod are charged on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00. The cost of 1 hour is 60 rubles. Disabled people, parents of large families, drivers of electric vehicles and residents of nearby houses can count on benefits, but they require special permission. Violation of the rules of use is punishable by a fine of up to 2 thousand rubles for individuals, up to 10 thousand for officials, and up to 15 thousand for legal entities.
The creation of a unified parking space in Nizhny Novgorod was carried out by Megafon PJSC under a concession with the mayor’s office. As a result, 114 parking zones appeared in the city, with a total capacity of almost 5.9 thousand parking spaces. The volume of investment in the project amounted to about 200 million rubles. The agreement with the company will be valid until 2032.
