Tomsk residents and guests of the city are invited to the exhibition “Weapons of Victory”

From May 2 to May 11, the open-air museum “Weapon of Victory” will begin its work in the Camp Garden. The exhibition includes 23 units of legendary armored and anti-aircraft equipment and guns from the Second World War, 19 of which were restored and restored by the Sibagro company.

All equipment from tanks to anti-aircraft guns took part in real battles. Thus, the SU-100 self-propelled artillery mount was used in the operations to capture Berlin and liberate Czechoslovakia and Poland.

Guests will get acquainted with the famous “Katyusha” and find out why they used to call her “Raisa Sergeevna”. They will see a new exhibit – the KV-2 heavy assault tank, nicknamed “Stalin’s Fist”. The tank on display is one of only three intact examples in the world that have survived.

Participants will literally touch “living” history – they will try to manually move a three-ton howitzer gun. As Soviet soldiers did it every day on the battlefield. Everyone will also be able to learn the signs the tank crews used to communicate.

A special place in the excursion will be given to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. They will talk about the feat of Zinovy ​​Kolobanov, who was included in the Guinness Book of Records, about Mikhail Koshkin, who created the famous T-34 tank, and about the contribution that scientists and workers of Tomsk made to the Victory.
