In Tula, a teenager lived for 5 years with a bullet in his neck. This was reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to the St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University.

A 14-year-old child came from the Tula region to St. Petersburg for planned treatment with a diagnosis of keeled breasts. The bullet was found by chance during a study using a multispiral computer topographer. Then the doctors saw a foreign body.

It turned out that 5 years ago another child shot the boy with an air pistol. All this time the bullet was in the soft tissues and did not pose a danger. A capsule has formed around it – a foreign body granuloma.

As Vladislav Avramenko, head of the surgical department No. 2 (traumatology) of the Pediatric University clinic, noted, such cases happen, but a bullet is rare. This usually happens with a tiny piece of glass in the leg. If you do not pay attention to the discomfort in time, the wound will heal and the foreign body will remain.

The boy was operated on. Now he feels good. This will not affect the treatment of the underlying disease.
