In the very near future, a situation may arise in which only one single financial asset will have the greatest value. Economist Mikhail Khazin warned about this, reports DEITA.RU.

On the radio “Moscow Speaks”, the expert explained that taking into account the deteriorating situation in the economy, mainly at the global level, the most catastrophic development of events cannot be ruled out this year. According to the expert, the economic collapse will begin abroad, most likely in the United States.

Khazin predicts that a direct consequence of the onset of financial cataclysms in this country will be a rapid decline in the dollar exchange rate.

This will be due to the fact that in general the entire American economy and financial system will be completely discredited. After the crisis begins, everyone will begin to look for a “safe haven asset.”

The only instrument that will preserve the purchasing power of savings will be gold, the expert believes. However, after a financial collapse, its value will skyrocket due to a very large increase in demand and scarcity. For this reason, Khazin recommended that Russians purchase precious metal in advance.

As soon as the crisis begins, which is already on the way, the price of gold will skyrocket. In fact, this is the only alternative to the dollar and this metal will begin to be bought up all over the world. At this very moment, those who bought gold coins or bars before the collapse in the markets will benefit,” the economist explained.
