Street artists of Vladimir created the twentieth mini-installation

--

Street artists in Vladimir hid another miniature in the brickwork. After a small apartment in an old house, Regina Yafasova and Fyodor Karpov created a stylized room from the 90s. Let’s give a little hint: you should look for the painted white brick in the historical part of the city. There will be one more.

This secret behind the glass became an anniversary. In the regional center at the moment there are already twenty installations walled up in the walls. An unusual quest was launched in Vladimir three years ago, so new addresses regularly appear on the map. By the way, some heroes even have neighbors.

“A boy from our childhood settled on the same street as the “Sleeping Girl,” the authors of the work give a tip. “He has a poster in his room: “Peace to the world, kefir to me.” A phrase from the period of humor and irony. It symbolizes the desire to be independent and not take on unnecessary worries, but simply enjoy life.

Regina explains that at one time this motto could be seen not only on posters, but also on stickers, T-shirts and even school notebooks. It has become one of the symbols of the times, which many now remember with great warmth. It’s no coincidence that 90s-style parties and dancing to Andrei Gubin’s songs are so relevant again.

The main character, apparently, is also interested in music. Posters of his favorite performers are hung on the walls of his cozy room. Everyone recognizes the frontman of the Kino group among them. There is a fashionable two-cassette tape recorder on the bedside table, and a guitar stands next to it.

Regina and Fyodor do not dismantle houses and fences for their Easter eggs. They equip them only where there are already voids in the walls. But some residents of the city, alas, do not treat miniatures with much respect. In just a couple of days, the glass in the new work was broken, and the “Sleeping Girl” next door has already been broken about ten times. But the installation is regularly restored and returned to its place for the sake of the people who love Vladimir.
