We started with defeats: Tver football teams started in the Golden Ring Cup

SC “Tver” and “Techno-Sonkovo” played the first matches in the Third League Cup among teams of the Interregional Football Federation “Golden Ring”. Both teams representing the Upper Volga region in the tournament won major victories.

SC “Tver” beat the “Rodnik” team from the city of Rodniki, Ivanovo region – 3:0. And FC “Techno-Sonkovo” confidently defeated “Nika” from Pokrov on their field – 4:1. The return matches of the first cup round will take place on May 1.

Meanwhile, the list of participants in the MFF “Golden Ring” championship has been determined. In the 2024 season, nine teams are entered in the tournament: “Fankom”, “Dynamo”, “Mashinostroitel” (all three are Kirov), FC “Cherepovets”, “Rodnik” (Rodniki), “Shinnik-m” (Yaroslavl), “ Secondary School named after G. A. Yartseva” (Kostroma), SShOR (Tver) and “Olympus” (Vologda). The start of the championship is scheduled for May 22.
