This year 26 new single-section trams will be purchased for Yaroslavl

The state corporation has allocated a billion rubles for these purposes. Delivery of the cars is planned before the end of the year. The regional government reported this today. The region received federal support as part of the modernization of electric transport in the capital of the Golden Ring. A concession agreement will make it possible to completely renew the tram infrastructure. Track construction is underway in the Dzerzhinsky district, and the rails are being replaced there. By the end of the year, 5.5 kilometers of new ones will be laid. In total, it is planned to replace over 45 kilometers, build new traction substations and depots, and purchase 47 modern single-section low-floor trams.
