By the May holidays in the capital, the capacity of the mobile network in places of public events will be expanded. Additional mobile base stations will be installed in four city locations, thanks to which subscribers will receive high-speed mobile Internet and high-quality communications, the MTS press service reported.
During public events with a massive influx of subscribers, the capacity of the mobile network with a multiple increase in load can be quickly expanded by mobile base stations, which can be installed almost anywhere.
From April 28 to May 12 – during the weekend, Spring and Labor Day and Victory Day – four mobile base stations will be installed at Sparrow Hills, VDNKh, Gorky Park and Victory Park.
“Mobile base stations effectively take on additional subscriber traffic, allowing us to approximately double the network capacity and increase the data transmission speed by a third in the most congested locations. Thanks to the installation of additional equipment, residents and guests of the capital during the May holidays and long weekends will be able to freely make calls, conduct live broadcasts, exchange photos and videos without loss of quality in recreational areas and public celebrations,” said Vladislav Medvedev, technical director of the Moscow region of MTS.
