The Orenburg administration has not yet confirmed or denied information about the resignation of First Deputy Mayor Alexei Kudinov.
Kudinov became first vice-mayor two years ago, in May 2022. Before that, he was a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Orenburg Region and worked at Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg LLC.
– No comments. Official information on personnel changes is published on the city hall’s resources, the city administration emphasized.
Previously Media and telegram channels region reported that that Kudinov wrote a letter of resignation. It is also reported that the mayor of the city, Sergei Salmin, signed it.
Officials and deputies interviewed by Orenburg Media did not rule out Kudinov’s resignation at his own request. The workload of the first vice-mayor became excessive due to the flood, but no one canceled the current work. Given the background of personnel problems in the mayor’s office, Kudinov’s departure is not excluded, they emphasized.
Another representative of the mayor’s office called Alexey Kudinov a key employee of the administration. He expressed doubts that after his departure it would be possible to maintain the pace of work within the emergency situation.
The House of Soviets told Orenburg Media that information about the likely departure of Alexei Kudinov was “circulating at the level of rumors,” but there is no official information on specific decisions yet. They also do not rule out the resignation of the official at his own request “after some time,” when the emergency situation due to the flood has stabilized a little.
