In 2019, there was a lull in promotion in Nizhny, so my friend Diana and I thought that now was the time to do something of our own. It was summer and we wanted something fresh and tropical, hence the name Jungle Fever.
For the first party, we threw together a few design ideas, put together a lineup, and did everything possible to make it look solid. It didn’t turn out very well (laughs). Everything was done in a hurry – the decorations were completed during the event. But the guys we invited supported us and generally reacted positively to our shortcomings. Then about 250 people came.
All the guys who are part of the association have never worked in the event industry before, but they all have a crazy instinct for the current sound and style. The Jungle has become an ideal environment for them to show their qualities. Everyone on the team follows musical trends, we constantly share new ideas with each other. Our approach to musical selection is what sets us apart from other promotional teams.
First of all, Jungle Fever is about creativity and creation. Such a project should bring inner satisfaction, it should nourish you so that you share these feelings and knowledge with other people. We strive for our sound, for people to discover new genres and educate themselves. As DJ MEG said: “What have you done to make sure that people in your city are looking for cool music?” Guided by this wise rhetorical figure, we began to conduct lectures. And at some point they decided to hold educational sessions where people from art, design, architecture, and fashion share their experiences. If a person comes to our events and learns about new music, heroes, projects, then we are doing everything right.
Jungle Fever is not a local party, it is an association that accumulates around itself people not only from different fields – organizers, DJs, content makers – but also from different countries: we are always connected with our friends from Yerevan, Tbilisi, London, Krasnoyarsk , from Bali. Together, we strive to create something unifying, so that a kid like me in 2019 can be inspired and also create his own project, which he will live with for many years.
