A man on the federal wanted list was caught in Voronezh after an incident with teenage boys

The man stole the backpack of one while the other tried to stop him.

A 14-year-old Voronezh teenager left his backpack on the playground, where he was with a friend. While the boy was away, a passerby stole a backpack containing a phone and other personal items, despite the second boy’s attempts to stop the thief.

Using cameras, police identified the suspect. He turned out to be a 29-year-old man, previously convicted and on the federal wanted list for theft in the Kursk region. He was detained at a rented apartment in Severny, and he has already confessed.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Robbery”. The man faces up to 4 years in prison.
