On Friday, April 26, at a meeting of the regional Duma during the report, the Ryazan Commissioner for Human Rights Natalya Epikhina spoke about the unresolved issue with the construction of a school in Agro-Pustyn.
Epikhina noted that parents of students constantly contact her with questions about the school. However, for now children are forced to travel to other localities to study.
“The issue of building a new school in the village has not yet been resolved. I know that a site has been allocated, but for now that’s all there is to it. Parents are sounding the alarm. Although only 15 kilometers from Ryazan is Agro-Pustyn,” added Epikhina.
Let us remind you that in 2021 a school burned down in Agro-Pustyn. In the summer of 2022, residents collected applications asking to build a school instead of the one that burned down. In 2022, the mayor’s office of the Ryazan region reported that the site for the construction of a school was ready. In 2023, they began to develop design and estimate documentation.
