At the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” in Moscow, a Day of National Projects was held, dedicated to sports and physical culture. The Minister of Sports of the Saratov Region Oleg Dubovenko took part in the events.
“As part of the program, a discussion was held on the prospects for the development of the field of physical culture and sports with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Government Dmitry Chernyshenko and the Minister of Sports of Russia Oleg Matytsin, sports functionaries, heads of regional departments, famous athletes. During the discussion, decisions were developed that will determine the shape of the industry in in the near future. The main task, as our President Vladimir Putin admonished, is to involve more than 70 percent of the country’s population in physical education and sports. In addition, a presentation of the ambassadors of the BRICS Games was held here. It is gratifying that our famous fellow countryman Ilya Zakharov. became one of those heroes who will represent and position these competitions in the territory of not only our country, but also the whole world,” noted Oleg Dubovenko.
“In July, a major international competition will take place in the sports capital of the country – Kazan – the BRICS Games, for which more than 30 countries have already signed up, which is about 4,500 participating athletes! This tournament was invented by our country and we are already at the finish line of its implementation. I have to act as an ambassador of these Games on the world stage and in front of our country, fans and young athletes, so that they take an example and strive for victories. Many thanks to our state for their trust. For me, this is a very serious and responsible mission. We are looking forward to the start of these Games! I invite all our fellow countrymen to join as spectators and fans. It will be cool!” – said Olympic champion Ilya Zakharov.
Visitors to the exhibition were also able to communicate with the guest of honor at our stand, Anna Shcherbina. Anna is an international master of sports of Russia, a multiple winner of international and all-Russian karate competitions. Young visitors to the stand took part in the event in the “Conversation with the Champion” format. Anna also conducted several quizzes and master classes.
“I am very grateful to the organizers for the opportunity to tell the young visitors to our stand about a sport like karate, about Saratov sports and our achievements. In this form of play, children perceive information especially well and here at the exhibition they are as open as possible to everything new. I showed the guys a couple of techniques. I recommend everyone to visit the exhibition “Russia” – it’s crazy emotions, innovative technologies. Here you especially feel what a great country we have!” – Anna Shcherbina shared her emotions.
