Head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko presented the Luka Krymsky medal to the head of the department – an endoscopist at the Samara hospital Pirogov Sergei Skupchenko. The specialist received an award for many years of conscientious work and professionalism, the press service of the Ministry of Health reported.

Skupchenko has been working in the healthcare system for 17 years. In 2022, as a volunteer physician as part of a group of surgeons in the Samara region, he provided medical care to patients in the front-line hospital of Donetsk and Dokuchaevsk (Donetsk People’s Republic).

According to the doctor, his work involves constant learning and mastering new techniques. – It’s always interesting not to stop there. We must constantly learn and contribute to the development of medicine. My colleagues and I have patents for inventions, scientific articles, which are also related to helping people,” noted Sergei Skupchenko.
