In February, passengers from Moscow most often flew to Sochi and St. Petersburg. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of the city for transport issues Maxim Liksutov.
According to the deputy mayor, almost 295 thousand passengers were sent to Sochi, St. Petersburg – about 291 thousand, Yekaterinburg – almost 155 thousand. Among foreign destinations, the following are noted: Istanbul – more than 88 thousand passengers, Phuket – over 85 thousand, Dubai – more than 81 thousand.
“Almost all the most popular air routes in Russia have seen more passengers not only compared to 2023, but also to 2019. This shows that domestic tourism continues to develop. On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we will continue to increase the accessibility of the capital’s airports and the capital’s tourism potential,” said Maxim Liksutov.
