International experts in the field of architecture and design will speak at the Moscow Interior and Design Week. The center of the exhibition’s business program is the arrival of foreign delegations of buyers and Hussein Bakri, the chief architect of Akon City.

Hussein is designing a city of the future in Senegal in the image of Wakanda from the world-famous comic book universe. It is being built 100 km from Dakar, the capital of the country, and the main investor and ideologist of the project is the popular singer Akon. As part of the business program of the exhibition, the architect will share his experience in designing an environmentally friendly smart city of the future, and will also talk about how such large projects affect the local economy and job creation.

“Exchanging experience with international experts will be a good opportunity for Moscow to share best practices and get acquainted with new solutions from foreign colleagues. Moscow Interior and Design Week will become a place for establishing new business contacts between our manufacturers and foreign delegations. In addition, more than 30 buyers from six countries will come to the exhibition, which will allow Russian companies to scale their business through new international sales channels,” said Vlad Savinkin, Architect-designer, winner of the Russian Prize in the field of literature and art in the “Design” category. , member of the architectural council of the Moscow Interior and Design Week.

The event will include a separate B2B session “Unlocking Opportunities: studying the demand for furniture and interior items in India.” It will be held with the participation of buyers from this country. Experts will also discuss opportunities to enter international markets, the structure of industry imports, the best cases of cooperation and demand for Russian products abroad.

In addition, Kavita Chaudary, a participant in the top 25 designers according to Do-school (Germany), and design director at Jaipur Rugs (India), will take part in the exhibition. She will talk about interior design for stars and her experience of participating in Dubai Design Week. The program will be complemented by presentations by leading international professionals from the US and UAE, such as Jude LeBlanc, BC Birman and Pallavi Dean, who will talk about their best creative solutions and most ambitious projects.

In addition, visitors to the exhibition will be able to find unique interior products produced in the capital at the “Made in Moscow” stand. More than 20 companies will be presented here, offering a wide range of products: home fragrances, candles, textiles, dishes and furniture.
