In the Leninsky district of Voronezh, sites for collecting solid municipal waste are being modernized. The district administration reported this on Friday, April 26.
A special site for garbage containers has already been organized in the private sector on Matrosova Street. The MSW collection area was equipped with a hard surface and a modern tank was installed. This should contribute to more efficient waste management efforts.
Work will continue. In the near future, other similar places of communal infrastructure will be equipped, which should significantly improve the conditions for waste collection and removal for residents of the area.
– Residents of the Leninsky district, in general, support the introduction of new methods of handling MSW. However, sometimes there are cases of waste storage in places not intended for this purpose. In this regard, municipal services are actively working to maintain sanitary order in the district, the district administration reported.
Earlier, Voronezh residents sounded the alarm because of a huge landfill that had formed in the courtyard of one of the residential buildings in the Left Bank district of the city. A huge pile of garbage, which has already been favored by rats, has formed at the intersection of Port-Arturskaya, 1 and Leninsky Prospekt streets. Two buildings there were demolished, and along with them, according to residents, garbage collection containers disappeared. People still take their waste there, which is why the landfill has formed.
