--

The director of the Ryazan State Academic Russian Folk Choir named after. E. Popova Sergei Selyavin, artistic director of the choir Svetlana Sukhova and chief conductor of the choir orchestra Alexander Oreshkin.

The press conference was held at the Ryazan Regional Philharmonic.

The tour took place within the framework of the “We are Russia” program.

From April 16 to 21, the Ryazan choir visited the cities of Tobolsk, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Magnitogorsk, Ufa and Orenburg.

The artists performed with the program “Ryazan Song, Sound!”, which included works from the group’s “golden fund” – folklore of the Ryazan land, popular Russian folk songs, songs to the music of Evgeny Popov, Alexander Novikov, Alexander Averin and Alexander Ermakov.

Songs by famous Russian composers based on the poems of Sergei Yesenin were performed. The culmination of the program were songs dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War.

“The audience danced and sang with us. Very cramped

contact with the public. It feels like these are family. The youth were delighted. The choir is a strong, well-coordinated team. We can perform in such difficult conditions as six concerts daily. The artists work to the fullest, with all their hearts. The brightest program. We collected the message from a layer of original, folk, and new, modernly processed music. An artist likes it when there is a good program. We will grow and move only forward.

In total, the choir visited the cities of the Central and Northwestern federal districts, the Volga region and neighboring countries with a concert program. According to Svetlana Sukhova, the trip to new regions of Russia left special and significant memories. The team performed in Lugansk, Berdyansk and Melitopol.

In May, the artists will go with a concert program and master classes to the Republic of Belarus.
