The head of the Kaluga city government Yuri Moiseev, City Mayor Dmitry Denisov and deputies of the Kaluga City Duma held a meeting with the leadership of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government. Our city was visited by the Co-Chairman of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government Irina Guseva and the Executive Director of the Association Andrey Malkhasyan.
During the meeting, the development of intermunicipal cooperation, improvement of the local government system and strengthening human resources were discussed. Issues of control and supervisory activities, reduction of municipal debt, execution of court decisions on capital repairs of apartment buildings, ensuring the powers of local governments with appropriate funding and implementation of infrastructure projects were also touched upon.
Irina Guseva informed her colleagues that the Association for the Development of Local Self-Government is preparing a report for the Russian government, which will reflect the state of affairs in the Russian local government system, the most pressing problems in this area and ways to solve them. Proposals on solving personnel problems of municipalities and social support for municipal employees will be presented for consideration by the country’s leadership.
