More than 12 thousand people visited the first regional career guidance forum “Open Door Week” – Yarreg

The results of the large-scale event, which took place from April 22 to 26 at the Concert and Entertainment Center, were summed up by the Governor of the Yaroslavl Region, Mikhail Evraev. Today, the head of the region inspected the exposition, which represented 50 diversified enterprises, 12 higher educational institutions and 20 colleges, and met with the participants of the event.

– We will make this forum traditional and will hold it annually. This is an excellent platform that brings together schoolchildren, students, representatives of universities, colleges, and employers,” said Mikhail Evraev. “We wanted to show our youth that there is no need to go to other regions and seek happiness there – everything you need can be found here in the Yaroslavl region: build a successful career, become a sought-after specialist and receive a good salary. It is important for us to help young people choose a profession that will become their life’s work, and to provide enterprises with qualified personnel. We will be glad if forum participants send their suggestions that will allow us to improve the work of the forum in the future.

The head of the region said that following the results of the “Open Doors Week” a website was developed and launched for applicants “I am a student”. On this resource you can obtain information about universities in the region and the educational programs they implement, as well as about enterprises – potential employers.

The portal has four sections: “Study”, “Work”, “Development”, “Leisure”. Here you can decide on a profession and choose a suitable university to become a sought-after specialist in the Yaroslavl region, learn about promising companies where you can undergo an internship and internship or find a job, find interesting projects and communities, and also learn about city life and various events. The site will be useful to both applicants and students, and their parents.

Also, based on the results of the forum, a 3D tour of the exhibition was created, which is posted on website. Now everyone can get acquainted with the exhibition online.

During the week, interactive events were held for visitors: excursions, master classes, demonstration performances and others. There was an open studio for the First Yaroslavsky TV channel.
