The Ulyanovsk administration has formed a team to participate in the regional anniversary relay. The race will take place on April 28.

For the first time in several years, the city hall nominated a separate team to participate in the race. It included deputy mayors of the city – heads of the Zheleznodorozhny and Leninsky districts Alexey Onishchenko and Oleg Gribalev, head of the department of office work and citizens’ appeals Tatyana Samsonova, head of the department of physical culture and sports Evgeny Demeshko and his deputy Liliya Gizatullina, head of the information policy department Andrey Shafirov, head MKU “Organizer of Passenger Transportation” for the Games of the Emirs, acting. O. Director of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Ulyanovskelectrotrans” Alexander Sherstnev, Director of the Ulyanovsk Entrepreneurship Development Center Alexander Karavashkin, Head of the Municipal Budgetary Institution “Gorsvet” Roman Isaev, as well as employees of municipal enterprises and institutions “City Heating Network”, “Right Bank”, “Civil Protection Department”, “Ulyanovskvodokanal” and sports school workers.

“We started training at the beginning of the month, taking into account how busy we were, we trained after 20:00 with the whole team, practicing the technique of passing the baton, general physical training, breathing exercises,” shared the head of the department of sports and physical culture, Evgeniy Demeshko.

Participants will have to overcome 23 stages along the route: Sobornaya Square – esplanade – Novy Venets Boulevard – Plastova Boulevard – Goncharova Street – Lenin Street – 12 September Street – Minaeva Street – Goncharova Street – Dmitry Ulyanov Street – Spasskaya Street – Lenin Square – esplanade – Sobornaya Square . The preparation of the route by city services is 98% complete.
