A video of a hit-and-run on a child in Dashkovo-Pesochnya from six months ago is being circulated online.

The State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ryazan Region warned citizens about the spread of false information online. The message was published on the department’s Telegram channel.

“On April 26, information was published on the Internet that “in Ryazan, a car hit a child on a scooter,” the State Traffic Inspectorate refutes this information. The accident occurred on October 3, 2023,” the post says.

According to the department, a five-year-old girl was injured as a result of the collision. She was hospitalized.

The regional traffic police called on the media to clarify information with the competent authorities before publishing.

Note that the video was published in the group “Overheard from Ryazan drivers.” The author of the post claimed that the incident happened on Friday, April 26.
