The cancellation of a postage stamp dedicated to the “Victory Dictation” took place in Murmansk

A special stamp was made for this purpose.

A stamp dedicated to the international patriotic historical and educational campaign “Victory Dictation” was put into postal circulation. The special cancellation ceremony of the stamp took place at the Murmansk Arctic University.

The event was attended by Director of the North-West macroregion of Russian Post Alexander Vakulenko, Minister of Education and Science of the Murmansk Region Diana Kuznetsova, Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science of the Murmansk Regional Duma Alexey Gilyarov, Vice-Rector of the Murmansk Arctic University for Youth Policy, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Lyubov Lychkina, Deputy Secretary of the regional branch of the United Russia party and head of the executive committee of the Murmansk regional branch of the party Evelina Makarova.

“Victory Dictation” is a truly popular patriotic event. The number of people wishing to take part in it is growing every year. Russian Post dedicates stamps to the most important dates and events, and it is very important for us to be involved in this large-scale event,” said Alexander Vakulenko, director of the North-West macroregion of Russian Post.

The postage stamp, issued in a circulation of 88 thousand copies, with a face value of 29 rubles, depicts the emblem of the International historical and educational campaign “Victory Dictation”. In addition to the issue of the postage stamp, first day envelopes were issued and special cancellation stamps were produced.

“This year, residents of almost 60 countries around the world took part in the Victory Dictation! This is the world’s largest test of knowledge of the events of the Great Patriotic War. In eight regions, including the Murmansk region, a ceremony was held to cancel a unique postage stamp in honor of this important event. Save history “, to establish historical truth, to form in our citizens a solid and deep knowledge about the history of the Great Patriotic War is our constant goal,” said the head of the executive committee of the Murmansk regional branch of the United Russia party, Evelina Makarova.

Let us remind you that the patriotic event “Victory Dictation” took place in the Murmansk region. In the region, 258 sites operated as part of the campaign. 45 minutes were allotted to complete the test. In total, 25 questions had to be answered.

In 2024, the Victory Dictation is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad and the entry of the Red Army to the borders of the USSR.
