Authentic photographs taken in May 1945 in Berlin were presented at an exhibition at the Georgy Zhukov Museum in Kaluga. The main exhibition of the museum is permanent, but thematic exhibitions are held in one of the halls.

Now the showcase displays photographs from the collections of the Kaluga United Museum-Reserve. They show soldiers of the Red Army who took part in the liberation of Kaluga, and then went through the entire war and reached Berlin.

Another temporary exhibition that will appear in the museum by May 9 is an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Bulat Okudzhava.

Both exhibitions can be seen during excursions, which are available at the museum by appointment. But on May 9, this format will change for one day.

Guide of the military-historical center “Marshal of Victory G.K. Zhukov” Margarita Bogatyreva: “Free sightseeing tours will be held on May 9. We invite all Kaluga residents and city guests to visit our museum. And until May 9 we are accepting excursions. The museum is open only on a guided tour, and on May 9 you can come freely. These will be small sightseeing tours, comfortable even for a large number of visitors.“.
