Police identified suspects in non-ferrous metal theft

In Voronezh, police uncovered a major theft of metal from the workshop of one of the enterprises. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this on Friday, April 26, 2024.

The suspects are four factory workers ranging from 39 to 61 years old. Three were drivers, and the fourth was a deputy shop manager. It was he who managed to arrange for the truck with the stolen metal to pass through the control point.

“The total value of the stolen property is estimated at 1.2 million rubles,” explained the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Voronezh region.

Part of the stolen non-ferrous metal was found during a search of one of the scrap metal collection points.

A theft case is currently being investigated, in which the defendants face up to 10 years in prison.
