Samir Al-Arabi, Deputy Chief Physician for the Medical Unit of the Pskov Emergency Medical Service Station, urged Pskov drivers to let ambulances with their special signals turned on on the air of the “Anamnesis” program on the “Silver Rain” radio station (88.3 FM) in Pskov.
“Here everything depends on people. When we write some rules, a set of laws, we usually mean an ideal patient, an ideal citizen, and an ideal employee. Unfortunately, this does not always work out this way. These are both objective and subjective reasons, ranging from, excuse me, bad manners and ending, perhaps, with fatigue and something else. Anything can happen,” noted the radio guest.
He noted that when an ambulance drives with the siren and flashing lights on, the crews often get into an accident, which entails showdowns in court and in the legal field. “Of course, I want understanding. Guys, please let the ambulance through, because it doesn’t just turn on the flashing lights and rushes off for a reason,” the doctor emphasized.
