The conference “Transition to Multipolarity and the Formation of a New World Order” is being held in Moscow on April 26 and 27

MOSCOW, April 26, FederalPress. Political scientists and historians from all over the world gathered in Moscow for a two-day conference dedicated to issues of a multipolar world. The event was held under the auspices of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Historical Society.

The conference “Transition to Multipolarity and the Formation of a New World Order” is being held in Moscow on April 26 and 27. Previously, issues of a multipolar world were raised at a meeting of the Valdai Club in October last year. The guests of the opening conference were welcomed by the scientific director of the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, co-chairman of the Russian Historical Society, academician Alexander Chubaryan.

“Six months have passed since our meeting at the Valdai Forum, where issues of the continued existence of a multipolar world were seriously raised. The fact that everyone came to us again speaks both of the importance and relevance of these topics, and of satisfaction with the content of the discussion,” Chubaryan said at the opening of the event.

He noted that the conference will become another international discussion platform for representatives of the humanities.

“We have joined in a lot of work to discuss a new world order. We are talking about how we will live in the future civilizational perspective. For our guests there are discussion platforms for the Valdai Forum and the Primakov Readings, and now our conference has been added to them. In our historical club we will involve foreign colleagues in the dialogue,” explained the academician.

This time the conference was attended by guests from Vietnam, China, Armenia, Kazakhstan, England, France, the USA and many other countries.

“Our conference covered all continents except Latin America, but my colleague sent his report from there too,” the academician concluded.

The conference was organized by: the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Historical Society, the Institute of Advanced Historical Research (the ILII Association), the Foundation for the Development of International Public and Cultural Communications “On That We Stand” with the support of Transneft PJSC and the Russian Peace Foundation.

Earlier, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Naryshkin, spoke about what ability the United States has lost due to the fact that the world is becoming multipolar.
