In the Kominternovsky district of Voronezh, an 87-year-old driver of a Nissan Note hit a 66-year-old man at a controlled crossing, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region reported on Friday, April 26.

According to the structure, the accident occurred in the regional center today – at approximately 12.05 near house No. 91 on Moskovsky Avenue. The foreign car was heading towards the Monument of Glory. However, the department did not specify at which traffic light the man was crossing the roadway.

As a result of the fall, the pedestrian was injured. The pensioner was taken from the scene of the incident to the hospital for medical care.

“The police are conducting an investigation into this fact, establishing all the circumstances and reasons for what happened,” the department summed up.
