More than 30 packs of butter were stolen by a woman from a store for further resale, the Pskov prosecutor’s office told PAI.

In January 2024, a Pskov woman went to a self-service store to steal some goods for further resale.

At the store, she went to the dairy section and, while no one was watching, took butter from the shelf, put it first in the basket, and then put it in her gym bag. In addition, she also took three cans of energy drink from the shelf, which she also hid in her bag, and left the store. In total, the woman stole goods worth 4,200 rubles.

She sold the stolen goods to strangers for 2,000 rubles.

Now the Pskov resident is accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to two years.

The criminal case has been sent to court for consideration.
