Know your history and remember the unshakable feat of the generation of winners! In the Volgograd region today the “Victory Dictation” was written for the 6th time. An international historical and educational event dedicated to the military chronicles of our country annually brings together a huge number of history keepers. This year, more than 250 sites have been prepared for testing in the region. Almost 9 thousand Volgograd residents wrote the Dictation in person.

Triumphal Hall of the Panorama Museum “Battle of Stalingrad”. The main site of the “Victory Dictation – 2024” in Volgograd. Dozens of Volgograd residents test their knowledge of history here in person. And by tradition, the action brings together a variety of residents – from schoolchildren to government officials.

“The Victory Dictation is a powerful action that unites and calls us. It unites us because we remember the exploits of our older generations. It’s calling because knowing history, being proud and learning from older generations has always been fundamentally important: we must feel that we are continuers of that great history that has been forged over millennia,” — said Vladimir Plotnikov, deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

This year a postage stamp was dedicated to the “Victory Dictation”. Its ceremonial cancellation took place in 8 regions of the country, including the Volgograd region. The emblem of the International Historical and Educational Action was depicted on the stamp.

Well, after the ceremonial cancellation – at exactly 12 Moscow time – the participants begin to write. 25 questions, 45 minutes. This year, a block of questions was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade.

“I wrote for the first time, I was very excited, I was preparing, I’ll be honest, I was preparing. But it turned out that there is still something to learn and something to work on, – admits the head of the Volgograd regional branch of the Association of Northern Military District Veterans, deputy of the Volgograd City Duma Igor Vorobyov. — The fact that there are so many schoolchildren here is truly wonderful. If you want to teach someone something, show it by example! You need to know history, love it, especially your own history. This is the continuity of generations.”

Sasha Polubarinova is participating in the “Victory Dictation” event for the second time. History is one of the girl’s favorite school subjects, and this love, admittedly, was instilled by the teachers.

“I knew many of the issues well; they were mainly on important historical dates during the Great Patriotic War. I read a lot about Stalingrad, it is my hometown, and it is important for me to know what happened before. In this way, we honor the memory and feat of the fallen soldiers, and I encourage all people, regardless of generation, to come and write such dictations.”says Alexandra Polubarinova, a 7th grade student at secondary school No. 54 in the Sovetsky district of Volgograd.

Alexander Dyachkov decided to take part in the “Victory Dictation” for the first time. Reserve officer. He has more than 18 years of service in the Airborne Forces. Today he is an instructor at the regional patriotic Center “Warrior”. The activity itself is conducive to knowing history. The difficulty was caused only by questions of “creativity” – about front-line writers and war films.

“I had to search my memory for the rest of the questions, but the answers were found. I am quite familiar with history, especially with the history of my native land, the Battle of Stalingrad, because at one time I was also a student of the military-patriotic center and our instructors and I studied history quite deeply.”– shared the instructor of the regional branch of the Center for Military Sports Training and Patriotic Education of Youth “WARRIOR” Alexander Dyachkov.

Also in the triumphal hall of the museum, the “Letter to the Hero” event took place: the participants of the “Dictation” wrote their wishes to the soldiers in the Northern Military District zone. In the front triangle format, the letters will be sent to the Ministry of Defense and the Russian National Guard. Alexander also supported the fighters:

“As a person with a military background, as a reserve officer, I literally wrote two lines: “Take care of yourself. They are waiting for you at home.” As long as the task is completed by the guys, I am sure that they will cope with it, the main thing is that they return home.”

“Victory Dictation” in Volgograd was written by schoolchildren, students, volunteers, search engines and many others. In total, the action, which was carried out on the initiative of the United Russia party and with the support of the Ministry of Education, brought together 8 thousand 800 people in the Volgograd region. The results of the Dictation for those who wrote it in person will be available in 1.5 – 2 months. All winners of the regional stage will be noted for their caring and caring attitude towards the heroic history of our country.
