AVTOVAZ plans to invest 37 billion rubles in the development and production of new Lada Iskra cars. The general director of the company, Maxim Sokolov, confirmed this information to TASS, noting that the Iskra project is already 80% ready for the start of mass production in 2025.
To create the Lada Iskra, the import-substituted Renault-Nissan CMF-B-LS platform is used, which partially coincides with the Dacia/Renault Logan III. The Iskra model range will include a sedan, station wagon and cross-station wagon.
Before launching the production line, it is necessary to localize the production of additional components. Work remains to be done to adapt several dozen auto parts to the requirements of the Russian market.
Thanks to investments and close cooperation with partners, AVTOVAZ plans to create competitive and modern cars that can attract the attention of buyers in the Russian market.
