Nizhny Novgorod’s income from parking fees increased 2.5 times in 2024. From January to March, the municipal budget received 10.9 million rubles from the use of parking zones. For the same period in 2023, the city received 4.3 million rubles, the city hall told a GIPERNN.RU correspondent.
Motorists were fined another 37.1 million rubles for non-compliance with parking rules in 2024. 21,452 resolutions were issued against violators under Article 3.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Thus, the city’s total income from paid parking for the past quarter reached 48 million rubles.
In total, in 2024, 21,452 decisions were issued under Article 3.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, fines of 37.1 million rubles were imposed, and 37.5 million rubles were paid (including payments issued at the end of last year), the mayor’s office clarified.
Parking fees in Nizhny Novgorod are charged on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00. The cost of 1 hour, excluding benefits for different categories of the population, is 60 rubles. For individuals, the fine for non-payment will be up to 2 thousand rubles, for officials – up to 5 thousand, for legal entities – up to 15 thousand rubles.
Let us remind you that last year Nizhny Novgorod residents paid for paid parking in Nizhny Novgorod over 75 million rubles. Almost 44 million rubles of this amount were fines for violating the rules for using sites. This amount went entirely to the city treasury. Another 33.2 million rubles were collected for parking fees. At the same time, 44% of this amount was received by the concessionaire, the remaining 56% was sent to the city.
The arrangement of a single parking space in Nizhny Novgorod was carried out by Megafon PJSC under a concession with the mayor’s office. As a result of this work, 114 paid parking lots with a total capacity of about 5.9 thousand parking spaces. The implementation of the project cost the concessionaire 200 million rubles, the agreement with him was concluded until 2032.
