In total, ten high school students from Russia took part in the Olympiad.

A student of Lyceum No. 40, Vladimir Elistratov, received a silver medal at the 58th International Mendeleev Olympiad in Chemistry in China, which was held at the Joint Russian-Chinese University MSU-PPI in Shenzhen. This was reported by the Department of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration.

Ten high school students from Russia, winners of the All-Russian Chemistry Olympiad for schoolchildren for the 2023–2024 academic year, took part in the Olympiad. Together they won 5 gold and 5 silver medals.

Vladimir Elistratov, a Nizhny Novgorod schoolboy and student of the Lyceum No. 40, competed as part of the Russian national team., he won a silver medal.

In total, 151 schoolchildren from 26 countries took part in the Olympiad. Among them, 15 gold, 30 silver and 45 bronze awards were awarded.

The International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad (IMChO) has been held since 1992 and is the successor to the All-Union Chemistry Olympiad for schoolchildren.
