State Duma deputy, head of the St. Petersburg branch of United Russia Sergei Boyarsky said in his Telegram channel that he took part in the “Victory Dictation” event, which the party holds annually.

“This year the mood is special, given that we, together with the whole country, are celebrating the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade,” the parliamentarian noted.

According to him, the central platform in St. Petersburg became the Finlyandsky Station. This choice is not accidental: it was here on February 7, 1943, after the siege of Leningrad was broken, that the first train with food arrived.

“It’s very nice to see among those writing the dictation our dear veterans, residents of besieged Leningrad, as well as participants in a special military operation who are already defending our Fatherland today,” Boyarsky said.

He also noted that he scolds himself every time because he is not prepared enough for the dictation.

“This is another reason to get into textbooks, onto the Internet, dig around and understand what other gaps can be filled in so that you can safely call yourself a person who knows the history of the Great Patriotic War. I thank the ideological inspirer and leader of the “Victory Dictation” Alexander Khinshtein for bringing this unifying project to life,” the deputy added.

Let us remind you that we previously wrote that 36 universities in St. Petersburg will take part in the “Victory Dictation” event.
