The evidence collected by the Leninsky Interdistrict Investigation Department of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Novosibirsk Region was recognized by the court as sufficient to convict two residents of the regional center. They were found guilty of committing crimes under paragraphs “g, h”, part 2 of Art. Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, associated with robbery), paragraph “c”, part 4 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery).
According to the investigation and the court, at night in early February 2023, 22-year-old convicts met a previously unfamiliar man on one of the streets in the Leninsky district of Novosibirsk. While drinking alcohol, a verbal argument arose between the men. During the conflict, the convicts, acting as a group of people by prior conspiracy, inflicted multiple blows to their new acquaintance with their hands and feet on vital organs. After this, the defendants in the case took property from the victim totaling more than 20 thousand rubles and fled the crime scene. A 22-year-old man died from his injuries several months later in a medical facility.
The regional court, having assessed the evidence collected by the investigator of the Investigative Committee, found the defendants guilty of the acts accused of them and sentenced one of them to 17 years of imprisonment with restriction of freedom for a term of 1 year 6 months, the second – to 17 years 3 months of imprisonment with restriction freedom for a period of 2 years.
They will serve their sentence in a maximum security colony.
