The results of the regional championship “Abilimpix” were summed up in Veliky Novgorod

The winners and prize-winners of the regional championship in professional skills among disabled people and people with disabilities “Abilimpix”, which was held in Veliky Novgorod, have been determined. 138 people became them, 46 people took first place.

Competitors competed for victory in 36 skills. The winners and runners-up were awarded diplomas, medals and gift certificates. A total of 303 people from 40 educational institutions took part in the competition.

The Abilympics Championship took place from April 23 to 26. The main venue for the competition was the Novgorod Technological College. People with disabilities and disabilities took part in the competition, including 137 schoolchildren over 14 years old, 151 students and 15 experienced professionals.

This year, the following areas were presented at the championship: “Woodcarving”, “Economics and Accounting”, “Car Repair and Maintenance”, “Seamstress”, “Web Design”, “Cooking”, “Occupational Safety and Health Specialist” , “Beading”, “Crocheting”, “Entrepreneurship”, “Silk painting”, “Carpentry”, “Dry construction and plastering”, “Veterinary medicine”, “Adaptive physical education”, “Database administration”, etc. .

Along with traditional competencies, new areas have appeared, such as “Web design”, “Medical and social care”, “Additive manufacturing”, “Tour guide”, “Documentation support for management and archiving”.

For the first time, disabled people of groups I and II who live in government institutions in the Novgorod region took part in the competition. They competed in the “Green Economy Worker” competency.

In addition to the competitive part, the competition also presented the business part of the program: a round table “Open Opportunities: Employment of Citizens with Disabilities” with the participation of representatives of the executive branch, public organizations, enterprises and educational institutions of the region.

The Novgorod region joined the Abilympics movement in 2017. During this time, the number of participants increased 11 times – from 27 in 2017 to 303 in 2024.
