Today, April 26, at the Bryansk branch of the Russian Economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov, a round table meeting was held on the topic “Financial fraud in the field of modern information technologies.” It was attended by police officers, employees of banking organizations, teachers and students of the educational institution.
Fraud prevention issues were discussed at the meeting. The police spoke about the work being done in this direction. They noted that criminals are now developing and implementing new schemes, including using modern technologies and artificial neural networks.
Police warned event participants against activating links from unfamiliar or dubious numbers. They also gave some tips on how to avoid falling under the attack of phishing scammers.
