Repair work is being carried out in the premises of the future branch of the Russian Museum in Nizhny Novgorod. The regional Minister of Culture Natalya Sukhanova announced this on Telegram.
Let us remind you that the branch will open in 2025. It will be located in the tenth building of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.
As Sukhanova said, the ground floor will house public spaces, a museum store, a cafe and administrative offices, and the second floor will house over 1,000 square meters of exhibition space. Currently, rough finishing of the walls has begun. The day before, the director of the Russian Museum, Alla Manilova, visited the facility.
Although the opening of the new museum space is still about a year away, we are already discussing the first exhibition. I’ll tell you a secret, the plans are grandiose,” Sukhanova noted.
Let us remind you that the “Night of Museums” will be held in the Nizhny Novgorod region on May 18.
