A businessman from Krasnodar had to pay more than 970 thousand rubles for the illegal import of agricultural equipment.

A mobile group of the Astrakhan customs on a highway in the Volgograd region discovered a batch of foreign equipment in a truck without documents. The feed spraying machine and mesh belt dryer, intended for use in agriculture for the production of prepared animal feed, were moved in disassembled form.

The driver did not provide documents confirming customs clearance of the transported goods on the territory of the EAEU. The press service of the Astrakhan customs reported that the goods were imported into Russia without paying customs duties.

According to the offender, he made payments by electronic transfer abroad through a Russian representative. But he did not take measures to find out whether they had undergone customs clearance, whether customs duties had been paid for them, and whether they could be in free circulation.

According to the examination, the market value of the goods was about 4 million rubles. The equipment was seized.

Astrakhan customs opened a case of an administrative offense (transportation of goods illegally moved across the customs border). The entrepreneur paid the fine according to the court decision.
