The Volgograd region is preparing for a summer health campaign for schoolchildren

During the summer, 86.9 thousand children will be covered by various types of recreation.

In the Volgograd region, preparations are underway for the summer health campaign 2024. Today, April 26, experts discussed issues of children’s recreation during a seminar-meeting chaired by the Deputy Governor of the Volgograd Region, Zina Merzhoeva. The event was attended by leaders of country camps, representatives of local governments and law enforcement agencies.

It is planned that in 2024, 120.2 thousand children will be covered by various types of recreation, including 86.9 thousand children in the summer. The opportunity for free recreation will be provided for children in preferential categories. The denomination of the certificate provided by the state increased by more than 30%, the press service of the regional administration clarified to City News.

Certificates can be used by disabled children, orphans, and children without parental care. Also, free holidays are provided to children from the families of combat veterans, mobilized citizens, and citizens participating in the Military Military District.

According to established tradition, schoolchildren from the DPR, LPR, and Zaporozhye will go to specialized shifts this summer. For children from the Belgorod region, whom the Volgograd region received in April, leisure and educational activities are organized in one of the camps.

Scheduled inspections will take place in May. The sanitary condition of children’s recreation areas and other parameters will be assessed. Municipal commissions have begun drawing up a schedule for accepting camps.

Zina Merzhoeva set a number of tasks for the summer holiday organizers. These include improving the quality and safety of children’s recreation and health. Particular emphasis is placed on anti-terrorism and fire safety of the camps.
