Tver police revealed the strongest in the classic Russian barbell press

--

In the gym of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Tver region, competitions in the classic Russian barbell press were held in the team and individual competitions among police officers. 16 teams with two athletes from each team took part in the competition.

It has been proven that the bench press beneficially develops the overall strength of the athlete, affects appearance, strengthens bones and increases muscle mass. Police officers, adherents of this sport, had to do the maximum number of exercises with a barbell weighing 55, 75 and 100 kg. Everyone’s goal is to reach the limit of their capabilities.

The gym brought together employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Tver, UEBiPK, EKTs, communications and internal security units, the State Traffic Inspectorate, as well as representatives of departments in the municipalities – Ostashkovsky, Rzhevsky, Bezhetsky, Krasnokholmsky, Kalininsky, Zapadnodvinsky, Konakovsky, Kimry, Vyshnevolotsky, Likhoslavlsky and Nelidovo districts . The judges determined the individual championship based on the athlete’s highest athleticism coefficient: the weight of the lifted barbell was divided by the participant’s own weight, and the team championship was determined by the sum of the coefficients of both team members.

According to the results of the competition in the individual competition:
– in the weight category of the 55 kilogram barbell, first and second places were shared by UEBiPK employees Nikolay Stepanov and Ivan Rudevich, and third place was taken by UGIBDD employee Pavel Vlasov.
– in the weight category of 75 kilograms, first place went to Western Dvina resident Roman Kharlamov, second place went to Vitaly Nikonov (Bezhetsky District Ministry of Internal Affairs), third place went to Dmitry Khudoleev (Rzhevsky District Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs).
– in the weight category of 100 kilograms, first place was won by Pavel Parfenov (Konakovsky District Ministry of Internal Affairs), second place by Sergey Dvoinov (OSB of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Tver Region), third place by refugee Sergey Kuzmin.

In the team competition:
– first place for police officers from UEBiPK;
– second place – the team of the regional Criminal Investigation Department;
– third place – the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Kimrsky”.

The management and personnel of the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs congratulate the winners on these achievements!
