In Sevastopol, 37 Moscow residents who painted graffiti on the cannon of the 11th coastal battery were found guilty of damaging cultural heritage sites. This was reported by the press service of the city prosecutor’s office.
As previously reported, law enforcement officers received information that unknown persons had painted a drawing on the naval artillery gun of the Boikiy destroyer.
The police arrived at the scene. Next, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB found the author of the graffiti. The man said that with the help of the drawing he wanted to leave his brand name in Sevastopol. Muscovite said he was ready to bear responsibility.
A criminal case was opened against a resident of the capital. Previously, the man had already been charged with vandalism and theft.
Later, the prosecutor’s office clarified that the Muscovite committed the crime on the night of January 7. The supervisory authority noted that the man drew a cat on the cannon.
“The Leninsky District Court sentenced the perpetrator to 320 hours of compulsory labor,” the report says.
It is also noted that the appearance of the gun was restored.
