Sber’s subsidiary Delovaya Sreda analyzed which businesses were registered by Urals residents in the first quarter of 2024

In the first three months of 2024, compared to the same period last year in the Urals, the largest increase in the number of entrepreneurs who opened a new business was shown by the sphere of real estate transactions (+62.8%). In second place is transportation (+52.7%), followed by retail trade (+48.5%).

In the retail trade sector, people aged 26-35 most often register a business. In the field of transport transportation, as well as in the field of real estate transactions, there are more entrepreneurs aged 36-45 years. Also, real estate transactions are the most attractive area for starting a business for entrepreneurs over 56 years of age.

The study examined the dynamics of registrations of 4.2 thousand individual entrepreneurs and LLCs through their online Business Environment service “Business registration and remote account opening” in 2024. Individual entrepreneurs account for 88% of registrations, LLCs – 12%.

Alexander Nuykin, Deputy Chairman of the Ural Bank of Sberbank:

“In the first quarter of this year, the number of new businesses in the territory of the Ural Bank increased by a third, while the most active regions were the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Sverdlovsk region. We see that entrepreneurs of all ages are going into business – both young and experienced managers are trying their hand at this business. In turn, Sber is ready to support any client and offer useful and profitable tools for their business.”
